12 Day Egypt Desert Adventures

After breakfast you will enjoy a trip out to the Giza Pyramids of Cheops, Chephen and Mykerinus, as well as paying a visit to the Great Sphinx and the Valley Temple. Continue on to the Egyptian Museum to experience the remnants of 5000 years of amazing history. Next you will be driven to Coptic Cairo to visit the Hanging Church and Ben Ezra Synagogue. A visit to Khan El Khalili Bazaar rounds out the day, followed by a drive back to your hotel. Meals included: Breakfast and lunch

Our representative will arrive at your hotel with a driver, and they will drive you to Alamein. At El Alamein, you will enjoy the site where the great battle took place during World War II; visit the World War II Museum and the Cemetery. You will then be taken to the beautiful bay of Marsa Matrouh on the Mediterranean Coast before continuing on to the Siwa Oasis. It is about a 6 hours drive from Alamein to Siwa. Dinner and overnight in Siwa. Meals included: Breakfast and Dinner

After beakfast at the hotel you will visit to the Old City of Siwa (Shali). Continue to visit the tombs inside the Mountain of the Dead discovering several interesting tombs; SI Amon, MSW Isis, and the Crocodile Tomb. Then transfer to Abu Sherouf, one of the Siwan villages to experience bedouin way of life and enjoy the Roman Spring. Then transfer to visit Cleopatra’s bath and the Alexander Temple, at Aghurmi village which is dedicated to the God Amon. Dinner and overnight in Siwa. Meals included: Breakfast and Dinner

After breakfast in Siwa, you will board an off-road vehicle for the trip to Bahariya Oasis. You’ll enjoy lunch during the 6-hour trip. Then next on the sightseeing list is a trip to the ruin on the hill, the English House, to enjoy its amazing panorama view. Dinner and overnight in Bahariya Oasis. Meals included: Breakfast and Dinner

After breakfast you will experience different sites in the Bahariya Oasis. Enjoy a tour around the old village and see the groves of palms and fruit trees.Then onto the “Golden Mummies Museum” from the Graeco-Roman period. Next you will visit the Tombs of the Nobles. After lunch in Bahariya you will head to the White Desert, passing through the Black Desert and the Valley of El Haize with its famous spring. Stop off to see the quartz crystal at Crystal Mountain and the petrified wood and volcanic rocks in the Valley of Agabat. Bedouin dinner and entertainment. Overnight camping in White Desert. Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

In the morning, you will drive to Farafra Oasis, where palm groves thrive and a hot spring awaits. You’ll also visit the unique mud brick museum of Badr. You will enjoy a trip to the Roman temple Deir El Hagar, surrounded by pristine nature, as well as the Roman burial grounds at Mezzawaqqah if it is opened. Then pay a visit to Islamic Village of Al Qasr, about 35km from Mut. Al Qasr houses ruins of an Ayubid mosque. The next stop is Dakhla Oasis, which is surrounded by rose-colored cliffs. You will stay the night in Dakhla. Meals included: Breakfast

After breakfast you will visit Kharga Oasis, where you will visit Qasr el Labeka, an ancient Roman fortress guarding a caravan route. An ethnic museum is available in the oasis, as well. Next, you will visit the Roman Temple of Hibis from the outside and an early Christian cemetery featuring painted chapels and murals in nearby Bagawat. You will round out the day with a trip to Nadora Temple, the Temple of Dush and the Baris Oasis. You will camp overnight at the Kharga Oasis. Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

After enjoying breakfast, you will be taken to Luxor in an air-conditioned vehicle, a journey which takes around six hours, including stops along the way. You will spend tonight at the upscale Sonesta St.George Hotel in Luxor. Meals included: Breakfast

After breakfast, you will cross the Nile River to the Valley of the Kings and the Valley of the Queens. You’ll also visit the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon here. You will enjoy lunch at a true local restaurant, followed by a trip down the East Bank to the famed Karnak Temples and the Luxor Temple. Finally, you will board a sleeper train bound for Cairo. Enjoy dinner on board and spend the night in a private compartment Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

You will be met at the Giza train station in Cairo by our representative, and you once again be taken to check in at the Le Meridien Pyramids Hotel. You can enjoy a free day in Cairo or you can take advantage of optional tour to the Saqqara Necropolis and Memphis, the ancient capital of Egypt. Spend the night in the comfort of your hotel in Cairo. Meals included: Breakfast

Sadly, our Egypt desert adventures cannot last forever, but your memories certainly will. Wake up to a wonderful 5-Star breakfast at your hotel, and get ready leave. One of our consultants will arrive with a driver and you’ll be taken to the airport in time for you to catch your flight back home.
